Judas

[John 1: 5] " And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehend it not. " Christ is able to use evil to do good deeds, whether or not evil understands it. The disciple Judas Iscariot, whether you see him as evil or wise, he played a very significant role. {Recommended read - The Gospel of Judas} If we can trust this Gospel, then we see that Judas was a friend of Christ and very wise, he appears to be the wisest of all the disciples. So why the betrayal? Someone had to turn Christ over to the authorities so that Christ would die and make salvation possible to all of us. They didn't have cameras, cell phones, news media with video cameras etc., to know what Christ looked like. Someone that knew him personally had to point him out. Peter wasn't going to, Peter didn't have as much faith in Christ or Christ's plan. Remember, Peter already and indirectly called Christ a liar, by saying he, Peter, was not going to deny Christ before the rooster crowed. [Mark 14: 27, 30-31, 68,72] Now how did Judas point Christ out? Did he stand behind the guards like a coward and pointed to Jesus from across the room? No. [ Luke 22: 47] " ....and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him." [ Matt 26: 47-48] [ 2 Cor 13: 12] " Greet one another with an holy kiss." [Acts 1: 16] " Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus." The book, " The Lost Gospel " Herbert Krosney, pg. 314; Jesus speaking to Judas, says, "In the last days they will curse your ascent to the holy {generation}." Jesus and Judas knew that Christ had to die, in order for salvation to be made possible to us all. If you need further proof, look at the symbolism. How Judas pointed Christ out, not like a coward, but with a kiss, as a friend. Also how we know we can pretty much trust the Gospel of Judas, Judas pointed Christ out to the authorities and the people, so his book, points out the real Christ.
